08:30 – 12:00 and 13:00 – 17:15 (except Wednesday afternoon) 09:30 – 11:45 Tuesday 18:00 – 19:30 Thursday (may assist patients who work) The practice nurses are responsible for well women & contraceptive advice, diabetic and travel vaccine injections. They can also offer advice on weight management, diet and many other health related issues including smoking cessation. Please telephone and make an appointment. Treatment Room Nurses – Telephone 531 8585 SUSPENDED DUE TO COVID 19 Routine Tests Drop In Service: Monday – Friday 8.30 – 11 am As from 2nd September 2019 – Afternoon drop in will cease and will be by appointment only. The nurses who operate this service carry out routine blood/urine tests in association with the GPs. Dressings and stitch removal – by appointment with the nurse. |

HC Assistants
Healthcare Assistants
Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one. |

Practice Management
The Practice Manager is involved in the co-ordination and management of all non-clinical aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The Practice Manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care. |

The nurses provide and co-ordinate nursing care for patients who are unable to come to the surgery. The nurses are available between 13:00 and 14:00 each day by telephone. The Out-Of-Hours Service can be reached by telephoning 355 2180. |
Health Visitors

The health visitors are available to give advice on many issues; child and family health; immunisations; sleep problems in children; child behaviour; and health screening in the elderly. They also help with parenting and behaviour management and also support to women with post natal depression. They are involved in community development work and liaise closely with the practice team as well as other professional agencies. |
